You get detected at a longer range (Henri detection range is already high) for faster reload and more range. Henri IV: The trade off for this module I feel is almost non-existent. The trade off is good but remember to use those WASD keys and vary your speed. You will be fighting at a closer range (2km closer at best, math could be bad lol) but you get the better rudder shift. I know it says +8% range but that is half of the +16% you get from the Gun Fire Control System Mod 2. You get better rudder shift time and maximum dispersion for the trade off of less range. Zao: The Unique Upgrade for the zao is also good if you are good at dodging shells. Yes, the reload time is less than using just the normal slot 6 module but the trade off is definitely worth it. You trade slower turret rotation on slow turrets for better maximum dispersion and reload time. Yamato: This is easily one of the best Unique Upgrades in my mind. If I had to choose which Unique Upgrades I would aim for first (personal preference of course). As Kizarvexis has posted his nice spreadsheet with numbers information. There might even be unique upgrades that do not fit your play-style or the drawbacks outweigh the positives for you. The key is to first learn the ship and how to play it and then determine how the unique upgrade will help you. These unique upgrades are not without some drawbacks, that could be shorter range, slower turret rotation or any number of trade offs. With regards to Unique Upgrades, everyone will prefer some over the others.
